Nut-Free Olive Oil Granola

*Gluten + Grain + Nut Free

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 cups gluten-free oats (NOT quick-cooking kind)

  • 1 tsp fine sea salt

  • 1 cup golden flax seeds

  • 1/2 cup raw sunflower seeds

  • 1/4 cup good quality olive oil

  • 3/4 cup maple syrup (2/4 cup also works if you prefer less sweet)

PREPARATION

Preheat oven to 350

 

Mix all dry ingredients. In separate bowl combine oil and maple syrup. Pour over the oat mixture and stir until mixture is thoroughly coated. Spread out on large baking sheet covered with parchment paper. Bake for about 10 mins then take it out of the oven and stir it around. Bake another 10 mins or until nicely golden brown. 

Remove from oven and allow to cool before putting in a storage container.
